A weekend of yoga, meditation and relaxation to refresh and recharge you.
Take a weekend to refresh and revitalise yourself, away from the usual busyness of your everyday life. Twice daily yoga and meditation, fresh healthy food, a beautiful restful house set in lovely gardens in the South Downs, and free time for walking, massages, sauna, and simply resting.
On this retreat we will explore dynamic, energising yoga morning practice balanced with more restorative yoga and mindfulness practices in the afternoon, including some outside movement counting on some July sunshine!
Both sessions will include accessible and progressive options, use of props and modifications where helpful, with plenty of individual guidance and support. This individual attention and options to modify is one of the benefits of smaller groups and a feature of my teaching style. I aim for everyone to go home with a few suggestions and ideas of areas to focus on in their practice, so that by the end of the weekend, you feel like you have made a progressive shift in your own movement practice, body awareness and wellbeing, as well as having had some space to rest and tap into a more balanced state of being.
SOME RETREAT DETAILS
The whole retreat environment is relaxed, friendly and inclusive and solo bookings are warmly welcomed. You can choose to take some quiet solo time as you need, and there will be opportunity to meet people and connect on walks, or join chatting at the outside tables for meals and a bonfire on Saturday evening to enjoy the summer evening.
The aim is for you to leave on Sunday feeling refreshed and relaxed, confident that you have some easy-to-use tools to maintain your vitality and a sense of centred calm, and inspired by deeper insights into how your yoga practice can more powerfully support your life.
We have our own chef providing freshly prepared, super healthy and delicious meals, which are nourishing and plentiful. It is vegetarian but not an austere menu! Teas, coffee and fruit are available all day. Most special dietary needs can be catered for (e.g. gluten free, vegan)
Tilton House is a beautifully restored Georgian house with a quiet brick courtyard and gardens to enjoy. Meals can be taken at outside tables and there is a walled garden section with a shepherds hut sauna and massage room (bookings for massages are taken in advance and paid for separately). There are footpaths from the ouse leading straight up the Downs for walks.
The bedrooms are mostly twin rooms, charming with simple, stylish furnishings, but not large. Bathrooms are pristine, please note some bathrooms are shared between four people. I have found the accommodation works well for a summer retreat as we tend to use the rooms just for sleeping and spend most time outdoors or in peaceful spots around the house and gardens.
